May 31 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 5:00 pm on Sunday, repeating until June 28, 2020
Beginning on Sunday, May 24, we will be distributing communion blessed during the morning livestream service on Sunday evenings between 5 and 6 p.m. at the church.
To receive communion, we ask that you drive through the parking lot in single file, turning south in the westernmost lane, and then curving around north up to the porch of the church. This will assure that cars are not crossing paths going in and out of the lot. The priest will then give you the appropriate number of wafers for those in your car. Please bring a cup or shallow bowl for the priest to place the wafers in. The priest will have sanitized his hands just before distributing the wafers to you. Once you have been given the wafers please pull forward to consume them before leaving the parking lot.
We will also be collecting items for the Common Ground Free Store in Delaware at this time.
The Free Store is just beginning to resume operations after being closed these last few months except for the distribution of groceries, and their hours of operation for both shoppers and donation drop-offs will be greatly reduced in Phase 1 of their re-opening. To assure that we’re meeting their greatest needs, we’ll be collecting the following items only:
- Canned vegetables
- Canned meats
- Body wash
- 13-gallon kitchen trash bags
- 39-gallon black trash bag
Please place your donations in the wire bins marked “Common Ground Collection,” which will be near the visitors’ parking area, after you partake of communion.
