Fr. Ron Baird is planning to lead a pilgrimage to the Holy Land this coming year. The 11-day trip will depart Columbus for New York on Monday, May 27, where we’ll take an overnight flight to Tel Aviv, Israel. We’ll return on Thursday, June 6. The cost of the trip is $4,098 per person, which includes airfare, accommodations, breakfast and dinner daily, transportation in the Holy Land, and entrance to all sights of interest. Not included are lunches, tips and personal items. Those who make their initial deposit of $350 by the “Early Bird” deadline of Jan. 31 will receive $100 off the cost of the tour. The pilgrimage will take us from Bethlehem, where Jesus was born, to his boyhood home of Nazareth. We’ll visit Capernaum on the Sea of Galilee, where he began his earthly ministry and called his first disciples. And in the Holy City of Jerusalem we’ll walk the Via Dolorosa, following in our Lord’s footsteps to the Cross of Golgotha, and finally to the place of the empty tomb, where the angel proclaimed that “He is not here.
