Parish collects 60 shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child

This year, thanks to Barbara and Sue — and all of you! — 60 shoeboxes were delivered from St. Andrew’s to the local Operation Christmas Child drop-off location. Thanks to everyone for packing and returning the shoeboxes on time. St. Andrew’s had folks from children to seniors packing boxes this year to bless children in need around the world.

A special thanks to members of Brownie Troop 4820, who packed 12 shoeboxes. Sue delivered these boxes 15 minutes before the drop-off location closed. God is Good!

The Amazing Journey of a Shoebox Gift Begins with You and Results in Evangelism, Discipleship, and Multiplication.

It is such a blessing to see our St. Andrew’s family working together to share the Gospel with children no matter where they are. If you’re interested in collecting for Operation Christmas Child all year long, please visit samaritanspurse.org/operation-christmas-child/year-round-packing-ideas/ and look at the photos of children receiving items. If you start purchasing items for your shoebox in January, by November you will have made a nice Christmas box! If interested, please see Barbara or Marty Scott.
