WARM service day July 24

St. Andrew’s is sponsoring a volunteer service day at the Westerville Area Resource Ministry (WARM) on Saturday, July 24, between 10 a.m. and noon. We will be sorting food and packing student weekend meals. Everyone is invited to this service day—adults, families, youth and friends.

WARM is a faith-based organization supporting families on the economic and spiritual journey of self-sufficiency. WARM provides short-term assistance, educational and job services and spiritual support to encourage individuals to achieve a God-reliant, self-sufficient life while restoring dignity and hope. In 2020, WARM provided nearly 350,000 meals to families in need. WARM also has a workforce development program, child nutrition programs and a vibrant volunteer corps.

On July 24, volunteers who want to carpool can meet at St. Andrew’s at 9:30 a.m. Volunteers also can go directly to WARM’s Distribution Center, at 150 Heatherdown Dr. in Westerville. If you plan to attend, please RSVP to Pat Schmitz. However, last-minute participants also are welcome!

Watch “The Net” for details about other opportunities for faith in action, including a service date at Common Ground later this year.
