On Saturday, Nov. 2 and Sunday, Nov. 3, the Parish will vote to elect four members to serve three-year terms—from 2020 through 2022—on the St. Andrew’s Vestry. In addition, we’ll elect one person to serve through 2021, filling the unexpired term of the late Christie Carter, who died unexpectedly last December.
Vestry’s overall responsibilities include visioning, overseeing the direction of the Parish, and promoting our purpose and mission. They meet monthly on the third Monday evening.
If you’re interested in serving our parish on Vestry please speak with a current Vestry member about what’s involved, or talk with Fr. Ron. Vestry names and contact information are listed on the Member Connection of our website, standrewspolaris.org, and on the wall just inside the Gathering Area to the right.
You may click here to downloaded a Vestry candidate form, or pick one up at the Information Desk at church. Candidate forms must be completed and returned to the parish office no later than Wednesday, Oct. 16. This will allow the forms to be prepared and made available to the parish on Sunday, Oct. 20, which is two weeks prior to the election, as our bylaws require.
The first Sunday in November is also Pledge Sunday, when we’ll lift up to God our pledges to the 2020 General Fund. Watch for stewardship materials in mid-October.
